INTRODUCTION TO TRACKING WORKSHOP

Sunday, 2nd February 2020

6.00am – 9.30am


VENUE:       Pine Rivers Dog Training Club,  Rob Akers Reserve, 176 Bells Pocket Road, Strathpine 4500
The primary focus of this workshop is directed to those dogs and handlers who have not done any tracking training whatsoever.  It will include a few short tracks of approximately 30 - 50m to demonstrate how to get your dog started. There will also be a discussion on scent theory, equipment and tracking rules over breakfast.

The workshop will run from 6am to approximately 9.30 am (including breakfast) and will include practical training on how to get started with your own dog and a presentation on scent theory and how dogs use their noses.

This workshop is usually over-subscribed.  To avoid disappointment and to secure your working spot please transfer your payment when submitting the registration form.

    It is not necessary, but beneficial, if you can bring a friend or family member who the dog knows really well to act as your tracklayer.  
    If you do not have a family member or friend who can come and act as the tracklayer, we can work around that.
